Farmers protest against agro laws

NEW DELHI : Six months have passed since the farmers' protest in Delhi against the Center's agrarian laws, as part of its' dark day 'celebration on Wednesday (May 26).

Federal Kisan Morcha has called for a nationwide protest against the government for six months after the government failed to respond. A large number of farmers have joined the Delhi Tikri, Singhu and Gazipur borders. More than 10 political parties have backed the protest.

Farmers allege that the central government's three agrarian statutes provide assistance to entrepreneurs, has called for the withdrawal of the act. The key to farmers' demands is to guarantee a minimum support price for crops.
