Hyderabad: Vaccine maker Bharat Biotech on Tuesday said it is seeking approval from the World Health Organization for emergency use of Covaxin in July-September.
Covaxin approval is in effect in more than 60 countries, including the US, Brazil, and Hungary. The World Health Organization has applied for emergency use approval. The agreement is expected for most of July-September, ”the agency said.
Hyderabad-based vaccine maker Bharat Biotech says 13 countries have already approved the vaccine's emergency and approval process is still underway in many other countries.
Bharat Biotech has expressed interest in adding Covaxin to the list of emergency use of the Covid vaccine, filed on April 19. However, more information is needed. A preliminary meeting of this relationship is likely to be held in May-June, ”a statement on the United Nations website said.
