Bengaluru: Opposition leader of the assembly Siddaramaiah has demanded that the farmers' struggle against the central government take six months to resolve the demands democratically and withdraw anti-people laws.
In a press release, Siddaramaiah said that it has been a year since Modi's government enacted laws that destroying the country's economic security and making it fatal to farmers and workers. Over 340 farmers are martyred at the site of the protest. People think he was killed by Modi's government. There is no history in the history of the world that the civil government of any country has ignored the mass movement of the people at this level.
But Modi's government, which is ruling our country, has severely ignored the struggle of the people and the peasantry. Tried to suppress. Behaved extremely inhumane. Percentage of the country. 80 percent are directly related to farming families. Modi's government is blind and deaf to the demands of such a large community.
Last year, pulses and oilseeds accounted for almost half of the total production. 16 percent was higher. Governments in their report say that agriculture has improved by 6.4 per cent in the state and 3.5 per cent in the country when all sectors have failed. So the farmers who produce pulses such as tomato, name, avar, uda, lasande, soy, chickpeas and oilseeds like sunflower and peanuts are not affordable. However, the price of pulses in the market is about 5%. Increased by 75 percent. The price of cooking oil is around Rs. 120 times higher. The inflation rate in this case is about 100%. More than 16. Because of Corona, people have less money to buy and more power in their hands. But prices are only rising sharply. If so, where did the farmers go?
Adani and Adani Wilmar Company are major traders of pulses and oilseeds. This is the same company that controls exports and imports. The central government has given up the ports and airports to Adani. There are about 5 million tonnes of barley in the country. One kg If the price of leather rises by Rs 30, the company will raise one and a half lakh crore a year. Over the last few months, the price of leather has risen by an average of over 100 rupees. Many are selling for Rs. 180 per kg. Last year it was Rs 80-90. There was only one. If so, how can the country be saved? This is why the wealth of Ambani and Adani are growing like the Himalayas. Adani is now Asia's second-richest man, with assets of just a few billion years ago. Ambani is the richest. His wealth is growing equally. This is why I wrote in my previous letter, “The struggle of the peasantry is not just for themselves. It is also a struggle for consumers who are buying farmers' products. ” It is the struggle to save the country.
1. If Modi's government believes in democracy and he has the wisdom that he is not a dictator, he should immediately negotiate with the peasantry and withdraw the struggle. All demands of the peasantry and labor must be met.
2. The anti-people Adani, Ambani and pro-corporate laws should be withdrawn immediately.
3. All the farmers who died during the protest should be declared martyrs and compensated for their families.
4. Farmers should pay a fair price for growing produce and consumers should get rice, pulses and cooking oil at reasonable prices.
5. Adani, like Adani, should seize all the illegally stored products and bring them to market and control inflation. Must be sold at fair prices. Importation from abroad should be banned immediately.
6. The farmers should implement the Price Guarantee Act for the crops and the Fair Price Guarantee Act for the consumers. A permanent committee of all parties, experts, peasant leaders and consumer representatives should be formed to deal with this.
7. The Central and State Governments shall abolish all amended Acts during and after the lockdown.
