Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has decided to give away groceries for free to 3,600 dancers who are in desperate need of a job.
In the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, several celebrities have come forward to help those in need. Akshay Kumar also joined the line. Earlier, Gautam had donated Rs 1 crore to a serious foundation by donating an oxygen concentrator. Now 3,600 dancers are offering free groceries.
Akshay had spoken to Bollywood dancer Ganesh Acharya on his 50th birthday and asked him what the gift was. Responding to this, Ganesh asked Akshay if he could help 1,600 young dancers and elderly dancers and about 2,000 back dance dancers a month.
Akshay has agreed to help artists through the Ganesh Acharya Foundation. The choreographer oversees the packing and delivery of his wife's food. "It is done all over the region and all health and safety protocols are taken care of," he said. It is learned that dancers and choreographers are going to get the money or kit to buy the essentials.
