Yas Effect - Wind and rain in Udupi

Udupi: Heavy rains have been pouring in the district for the past four days. The impact of Hurricane Yass on the east coast has been windy throughout most of the district.

It rained for about an hour this morning. Heavy rains in Karkala and Hebri region have started every day since noon for the past two days, with heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms. The atmosphere is like a full rainy season.

Rainfall is expected to continue throughout the district. Heavy rains are experienced across Kundapur and Byndoor taluk. With the rains pouring in, the need for a lockdown is a bit of a problem. The Met Department forecasts moderate to heavy rain over the next couple of days. Arabian anglers should beware. Khadak has been instructed by the District Administration not to take to sea when the amount of wind is high
