Covid Infection In 138 Villages In Chitradurga Taluk:

Chitradurga, May 27 Covid infection in rural areas is on the rise, with an increase in the incidence of Covid infection in the district.

According to Health Department data, 138 villages in Chitradurga taluk have been infected. Since May 3, 783 cases have been reported and 407 active cases.

Rural Areas of Chitradurga Taluk, Pillekerenahalli, Madakaripura, Seabara, Thuruvanur, GR Halli, Kasapura, Kalakare, Pandarahalli, Hireguntanur, Kalgere, DSHalli, Bhimasamudra, Kasavarapatti,  Cases reported.
Covid infection, which has only increased in urban areas, has now spread to the village. There are examples of people infected with a home. Some of Covid's infected persons are receiving treatment at Home Isolation, District Covid Hospital and Covid Care Centers and private hospitals in Chitradurga city.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been launched to raise awareness and control of a village-wide program by district doctors on the instructions of the government.

Every day, rural people are being educated on Covid-19, which includes visiting various villages in the district, visiting houses in villages and checking Covid and cutting down the Covid infection chain.
Shift of infected people to Covid Care Center: Covid-19 is the district headquarters for infection control and has implemented stringent measures to control Covid. The day-to-day lockdown has already been implemented in the district.

Covid Care Centers have been opened in various hostels across the district, providing all kinds of facilities to treat Covid infected people. Shifting infected people to the Covid Care Center is mandatory, rather than home isolation, when the infection is confirmed.
DC NOTE: The Covid-19 Second Wave is widespread, particularly in rural areas of the district, and Kavita S. Mannikeri, District Collector, has urged the rural community to take necessary precautions to protect Covid.

In order to prevent Covid-infection, a village-wide program is being conducted by a doctor in the district. Rural people need to cooperate to prevent Covid, she said.

The district administration is making a concerted effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic which is an ever-present concern throughout the Chitradurga district.
